The department in Amsterdam takes care of the logistical & administrative handling of parts & complete excavators for a Japanese earth-moving machine manufacturer.

Job Title: Freight forwarding operator

Workplace: Amsterdam West Poort

Working hours: 40 hours per week (Fulltime)

Job description:

For our office in Amsterdam we are looking for a Freight forwarding operator for 40 hours a week. This is a function that will initially grow in breadth, and where the emphasis will initially be on providing support to the team in the following activities:

  • Receiving import and export data
  • Entering customer and order data for correct physical processing
  • Administrative processing of orders and provision of related documentation
  • Informing customers and carriers about arrival or departure of the transport
  • Signaling and communicating changes regarding orders / addresses
  • Support colleagues in solving bottlenecks and problems

Requirements

You are customer-oriented (internally and externally), accurate, work pressure resistant and collegial. You can switch quickly and you like that no working day is the same. You are communicative in word and writing in the English (80%) and Dutch language (20%). Furthermore, you have / are;

  • MBO+ working and thinking level
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Accurate
  • Interest in, affinity with logistics / transport
  • Service oriented & diplomatical ( internally and externally)
  • Stress resistant
  • Willingness to work overtime at peak times
  • Good social and communication skills
  • Responsible, pro-active and hands-on mentality, self-motivated
  • Legal residence/work permit in NL is a must
  • Positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG)

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Permanent
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: €2,400.00 - €2,800.00 per month
