The IT Controllers main responsibility is to keep both future run costs and transformation costs under control, by providing reports, supporting by writing business cases, scenario's-based analyses and providing proactive advice.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: develop comprehensive and accurate financial plans and budgets for both ongoing IT operations and transformation projects.
- Monitor and track expenses against budgets, identifying any deviations and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Cost Optimization: identify areas where efficiency and cost-saving opportunities can be achieved. Propose and implement cost optimization strategies.
- Transformation Project Cost Management: Work closely with project managers and teams to establish and maintain project budgets for IT transformation initiatives.
- Regularly review project spending and highlight any potential overruns or variances.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports for IT leadership and executive management, presenting financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- ROI and Business Case Analysis: Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for IT projects and initiatives, supporting the development of business cases for transformative IT projects.
- Assess the financial impact of proposed initiatives and their alignment with the organization's overall objectives.
Basic Qualification: (Required Education & Experience)
- Master's degree and 10 years of experience in Finance and IT.
Critical Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills complimented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to remains in a stationary position more than 25% of the time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
- Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
