Fabienne Chapot has been expanding tremendously for years in a row. We are having a cross channel distribution strategy which allows our consumers to find our beautiful products online, via partner stores and in our own retail boutiques. The last year we doubled our store count and
we currently have 7 full price boutiques and 3 outlet stores. Our first boutique in Germany recently opened! Next to that, we have opened 3 shop in shop locations in beautiful department stores in Germany, which are fully owned and operated by ourselves. Our ambition is to continue developing the store portfolio in the years to come.

Therefore, Fabienne Chapot is looking for an experienced new colleague to develop our retail business further. Not only with our existing and new to come stores, but also by preparing the retail organization for a sustainable future growth.About this position
In this new role, you will develop our retail organization to a next level. You will work with the retail manager, the retail coordinator, the boutique teams and our colleagues in the headoffice to get things done and, above all, to maximize turnover and profitability. Meanwhile, securing a strong base for future growth. This includes, but is not limited to professionalizing processes, building teams for the future and ensuring operational excellence. We are looking for an independent and action-oriented person that gets energy from building things: implementing, testing, improving, structuring and professionalizing. You have an eye for opportunities. At the same time, you are a tactical thinker who can translate our strategy into a clear path forward. Retail is in your DNA. You will lead by example and are therefore eager to manage some of the stores by yourself at the start. You will report into the Commercial Director and the role is based in Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the global retail organization.
- Further professionalize our Retail organization by developing and implementing standardized procedures, by creating the best in class store teams and by implementing a customer experience no one has ever seen before.
- Lead and drive the development of our retail business: set up strategies and tactics for sustainable growth in alignment with our general brand and commercial goals; this includes growth with existing stores as well as new stores.
- Ensure flawless execution.
You will work closely together with the marketing-, logistics -, People & Culture, merchandise and finance teams. Together we will maximize Fabienne Chapot’s turnover and bottom line results, contributing to our retail growth ambitions.
About Fabienne Chapot
Fabienne Chapot is a fashion brand born and raised in Amsterdam. We favour prints designed in-house, vivid colours, feminine tailoring and quirky details. The magic happens in our Amsterdam-based headquarters. Located in the city centre, right on the canals. We launch 2 collections a year, each consisting of 6 chapters. Our items are being sold in almost 1000 points of sale worldwide, in our online boutiques and 9 brand boutiques. Besides Amsterdam, we also have offices and showrooms in Munich, Düsseldorf and Antwerp.
What you’ll bring to the table
- Extensive retail experience: we don’t have to explain you but you will teach us how it works.
- Deep knowledge about (how to influence) the main drivers behind the retail KPI’s.
- A commercial mindset and the ability to train your teams to develop the same.
- Strategic thinker; yet absolutely ready to get your feed in the mud to make things happen.
- Advanced analytical skills, being able to translate numbers into actions.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English; preferably also German; when you know what is needed for success you easily convince the ones you need to make it happen.
